6b13 was the first assault body armor with a high area of protection. The bulletproof vest is a transitional link of evolution between 6b23 and 6b45. The vest has a front pocket for a plate, two back plate pockets, a high collar and shoulder pads for a weapon sling, backpack, LBE or MOLLE vest.

The vest is adjustable in width with the help of side slings. The front of the collar can be folded for convenience and fixed with Velcro on the front panel. 6b13 is one of the rarest body armor of the armed forces, used during the Ossetian conflict.
